Planes

Plane is undoubtedly the most comfortable and fastest way to get to your final destination but at the same time the most expensive.

Trains

Trains are mainly comfortable in China. Moving around by train is a pleasant and less expensive opportunity to travel and to see the rural area of China. You can travel through much of China by train and it will be about 25 % cheaper than travel by plain. Notice that you should better make a reservation, because the trains which depart from a big city will be overcrowded and you will have problems with buying tickets. At the same time on the trains which depart from a small towns you want have a fixed seat, that’s why try to take a seat or you will have to stand.

Buses

Of course bus is the cheapest way to move around the country but accordingly slow. In comparison with train travel by bus is even more comfortable, because there regular stops at the time of the trip. Most of the buses have air-conditioner, toilet and TV inside. We advise you to make a reservation in order to be sure that you will have tickets, especially if you are going to travel China during the travel season or holidays.

Waterways

Waterways are less popular than other means of transportation but surely much captivating. Besides you can also enjoy the three top waterway tourist sights: Li River Cruise, Yangtze River Cruise and Grand Canal Cruise.

Moving inside cities

You can move around inside cities by city buses or by underground. An underground ticket costs 2.00 – 5.00 yuan. Hired car/taxi is no less convenient way to move around the city. But if you want something special and less ordinary, hire bicycle and view the city yourself or go by a three-wheeled vehicle driven by Chinese.

There is one more important thing you should remember. In some cities buses, taxis, cars and motorbikes are forbidden in order to lessen the pollution of environment.
