China with its long and rich history will always attract visitors from other countries. If you travel China you have a nice opportunity to see marvelous attractions and and at the same time to plunge into historical events that occurred in the country.
Here is the most frequent attended attractions in China: Summer Palace in Beijing, Dunhuang Mogao Grottos, Xi’an in Shaanxi Province and Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai.
Summer Palace in Beijing.
Summer Palace is a powerful symbol of one of the major world civilization, which has the best ancient buildings because of its 800 years. It has three main parts which are Long corridor, Longevity Hill, and Kumming Lake. The Palace occupies the territory of 294 hectares (726.5 acres), three quarters of which is water.
Dunhuang Mogao Grottos (Thousand-Buddha Grottos of Dunhuang).
Mogao Grottos is one of the three well-known rock grottos relating to existing in the world storehouses of the Buddhist art. It was built during the Qin Dynasty (336 A.D.) and today there are more than two thousand coloured statues on the Mogao Grottos territory, which is over 45,000 square meters. Grottos is a mix of Chinese, ancient Indian, Iran and Greece style. Buddhist story paintings, which all the visitors can see are very marvellous.
Xi’an
Necessarily visit Xi'an when you travel China, because this is exactly the place where well-known Chinese Silk Road started. Xi'an differs from the rest of main cities in China by its really long history and its weird and extremely interesting traditions. Huaqing Hot Springs (at the foot of the Lishan Mountains) and Mausoleum of Emperor Qing Shihuang, which is the largest tomb in the world, are the most popular attractions in Xi'an. Huaqing Hot Springs was the place where Chinese emperors came to relax and enjoy the beauty.
Jade Buddha Temple.
Jade Buddha Temple was built in 1882 for keeping 2 Buddha statues brought from Burma. This Temple is the largest and the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. The statues were made of white jade. There are also somewhere about 7000 copies of Buddhist Holy Scriptures in a temple.
